Last-minute bookings

Last-minute restaurant bookings without the endless refresh.

Planning a same-day table? Check official booking links, compare London options and set a Seats alert for matching restaurant availability.

How Seats helps

Last-minute plans need a concise brief: where, when, how many people, and what backup options are acceptable.

Seats helps turn that into a focused request for same-day, next-day, and this-week restaurant plans.

Useful for same-day dinners, next-day lunches, late plans, and trip-led requests

Works best with a wider time window and backup restaurants

Check the restaurant's booking-link coverage before relying on an alert

Build a workable same-day dinner plan.

Check current availability now

Start at the restaurant's own website or booking provider and check your exact party size. If the evening is close, contacting the restaurant can clarify whether walk-ins, a waitlist, or another service are options; Seats cannot promise those options exist.

Allow time to get there

Set the earliest time you can realistically arrive, including travel and time to complete the booking. Decide when you will switch to a backup so that an alert does not leave the rest of the evening unresolved.

Keep alternatives nearby

Choose a short list in the same practical area, with meal times and booking conditions that work for everyone. Confirm each restaurant separately. Availability at one venue does not mean Seats can monitor every alternative.

Requested restaurants

Start with the table you actually want.

Example requests

The strongest requests are specific.

Tonight in Mayfair for two after 8pm

Dubai dinner tomorrow for six, DIFC preferred

New York lunch this week with two backup restaurants

Questions people ask before sending a request.

How do I get a table at a popular London restaurant at short notice?

Check the restaurant's official booking page for your full party size first. Try a wider time window or a nearby alternative you can reach. If your preferred table is unavailable, create a Seats watch for a supported booking link and choose the notifications you want. When an alert arrives, follow the link, review the terms and complete the booking with the provider. An alert does not hold the table.

How late can I send a last-minute request?

You can create a same-day watch, but leave enough time to receive an alert, finish the booking and travel. If dinner is imminent, check directly with the restaurant and keep a backup; an alert may not arrive in time.

Do last-minute restaurant requests need backup options?

They do not need backups, but backup restaurants usually make the request much stronger.

Make the most of a restaurant alert.
