Privacy Policy

Seats collects the information needed to provide restaurant reservation assistance services, including account contact details, service order details, marketplace listing and claim details, notification preferences, support messages, and operational audit records.

We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting, Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Vercel for hosting and optional site traffic and performance analytics, and Railway for scraper operations. Twilio SMS may be used only where SMS notifications are configured. Seats does not currently operate WhatsApp messaging.

We do not sell personal data, use IDFA, or share data with data brokers. Payment card details are entered with Stripe and are not accessed by Seats.

Optional measurement is off until you choose to allow it. If allowed, Seats loads Google Ads measurement and records privacy-minimised page visits and selected interactions to understand which public pages lead to useful requests. Public page-view records use randomly generated browser and session identifiers, a path without its query string, a referrer without its query string, and a shortened user-agent value. For recognised tagged links, Seats also records a broad source and channel, such as Google and paid, without storing campaign text or click identifiers in these records. The first measured source is retained for the tab session after you allow measurement and cleared from your browser when you withdraw consent. If you create an account while optional measurement is allowed, we also attach that first measured source, channel, a general landing-page category and its timestamp to the new account. This lets us compare sign-ups, email verification and first restaurant watches by source. This account-linked snapshot is used for Seats administrative reporting and is removed when the Auth account is deleted. It does not contain advertising click identifiers, raw campaign text or browsing history. Declining measurement prevents this snapshot; withdrawing consent clears any pending browser snapshot. Private account, admin, booking-confirmation and watch-management URLs are excluded from public page-view reporting and advertising analytics. With your permission, Seats also records selected product actions using fixed event names and general page categories, without search text, restaurant details, private URLs or payment details. For signed-in accounts, optional activity measurement records the days and recent times you use a visible, recently engaged page. These records help us measure active accounts and returning usage; they are stored in Seats, are not sent to advertising providers, and are removed when the Auth account is deleted. Existing account, watch and completed-payment records also support operational reporting independently of optional browser measurement. Declining or withdrawing optional measurement stops further browser activity and interaction collection. You can withdraw consent and clear the browser identifiers at any time below; you can also contact support about access or deletion of earlier records.

Email messages may include open, click, and unsubscribe tracking so we can measure delivery, improve alerts, and honour opt-outs. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting support; service and transactional messages may still be sent where needed to run your account or requests.

Marketplace handovers may include restaurant, timing, party size, public notes, private handover notes, trust signals, confirmations, reports, and dispute notes. Private handover details are shown only to the lister and the accepted claimer, plus Seats administrators where needed for support, abuse prevention, or dispute handling.

Service order, consent, payment, monitoring, email, marketplace, and audit records may be retained after account deletion where needed for tax, fraud prevention, legal obligations, consumer-law evidence, chargeback handling, marketplace disputes, or platform security. Where deletion is requested, Seats will delete or anonymise data that is no longer needed for those purposes.
